Two Kinds of Righteousness: Chapter 1-3

I recently heard Billie Brim say that the greatest need of the church today is for the body of Christ to get ahold of who they are in Christ. E. W. Kenyon said, "The supreme need of the church at this hour is to know what we are in Christ, how the Father looks upon us, and what He considers us to be" (p11). That was over 70 years ago. I think it is time we get it, don't you?

The enemy realizes that the moment we understand that when we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we were made into a brand new creation and automatically were made righteous, and at that moment he was defeated.

For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ
— 2 Corinthians 5:21

With our right standing Kenyon says that God covered every phase of our need, restored our fellowship with God and wiped away all guilt or sin. Our old sinful nature has been replaced with the nature of God. We now have victory over sin and the enemy. We are children of God.

As you begin this week remember: we are redeemed, recreated, delivered, and set free!

The Believer's Authority: Chapter 8

Okay, we have learned that we have been raised from the dead, we have been seated with Christ in heavenly places, and that we have been given authority and power. That is a lot to take in and at times it make actually take a while to sink in, but once it does it is like a bolt of electricity has hit us and away we go. We start binding and taking authority over everything from calorie demons to the demons that make our children disobey.

My how easily we can get off track. This chapter is so good in grounding us to what we have authority over (demons) and what we don't (a person's will). If you will remember that you will not get frustrated. Don't get wrapped up in whether they are oppressed or possessed, just tell the demon to leave and he has to go!

Stay grounded, put your armor on, and use your authority. You are a child of God anointed to do the works of Jesus and to spread the good news.

The Believer's Authority Chapter 7

Warfare is simply doing the works of Jesus and taking our authority over the enemy in our everyday life.

Everyday is an opportunity to use our authority and to use our weapons. When we don't see immediate results we tend to give up. In my experience, we give up way to quickly. That is why Paul remind us to hold on, stand firm, and don't give up! God's Word will never fail! Absolutely, positively, never fail!

When you get up in the morning put on your armor, take your authority, and do the works of Jesus!

Get ready to start off a great week battle ready!

The Believer's Authority: Chapter 6

I love the description of Smith Wigglesworth at the end of this chapter, he was first of all, a man of God's Word, and second, a man filled with the Spirit of God. What an incredible combination. I too want to be known as first of all, a woman of God's Word, and second, a woman filled with the Spirit of God. How about you?

Matt 18:18 says; "I tell you the truth, whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven."

How much are we allowing the enemy to get away with in our life and our family? Whatever, anything, you permit will stay. Whatever, anything, you forbid will leave. Take an inventory of your life and if it isn't bringing life and life more abundantly to you then forbid it and watch it leave.

It is time for freedom! Use your authority on this earth.

The Believer's Authority: Chapter 5

If nothing else, we must get a revelation of us sitting with Jesus in heavenly places. Remember, it is a place of power and authority. From that position we are not fighting the enemy on a level field, we are above him in power and authority. He has been defeated.

When you begin exercising your authority over the enemy visual the scene of you towering over him while he is curled up in a fetal position cowering in terror. And then finish him off by telling him to leave and watch him run in stark terror!

Let's be like those who hold fast to their faith, never letting go. It's time to walk in the authority and power that Jesus has given us and take back territory.

Comment below if you are all in and ready to use your authority against the enemy!

The Believer's Authority: Chapter 4

Breaking the Power of the Devil! Don't you just love the way that sounds? It is time for the body of Christ to understand that the enemy has no right to dominate, intimidate, or rule us. Yet, it seems that people have more assurance in the power of the enemy then in the power of God. Oh, they know what Satan will do, they just aren't sure what God will do.

God has told us what He will do in His Word. He gives life and life more abundantly. He saves, heals and delivers. Every good and perfect gift comes from Him. So if there is anything in your life that doesn't meet the previous description of life and life more abundantly, stand up and take authority over it.

"In the name of Jesus, I break the power of the devil over ______________in my life, and I claim victory."

Remember you are not demanding of God when you demand your rights, you are demanding of the devil. I love what Smith Wigglesworth said, "I'm not moved by what I see. I'm not moved by what I feel. I'm moved only by what I believe." So stand your ground against the enemy.

Who is studying this book with me and ready to defeat the enemy?

The Believer's Authority: Chapter 3

For He raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus.  Ephesians 2:6

We are seated with Jesus on the right of God! Does that just blow your mind? It does mine. To think that God loved us so much that He not only sacrificed His Son to die for us, but that when He raised Jesus up He also raised us up to sit by Jesus at His right hand. The one sitting at the right hand of the King has authority.

Do you really grasp what that means? When you tell the enemy to flee, he has to flee. When you speak to the mountain, it has to move. When you speak healing, healing comes. When you speak peace, peace comes.

I love the way Kenneth Hagin said it: "The elevation of God's people with Him into the heavenlies clearly points to the fact that we are to sit with Him, sharing not only His throne but also His authority. That authority belongs to us!"

Rise up and take authority!

The Believer's Authority: Chapter 2

Have you ever wondered why your dog and even your children seem to obey the male voice over the female voice? It is that voice of authority. And you have been given that voice of authority by God himself. What is authority? It is delegated power, and delegated power that is backed up by all of heaven.

Start using your authority today. Get up, stomp your foot, and say; "No more devil!" As John 4:4 says; "Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world."

Spend time studying chapter 2 today!

The Believer's Authority: Chapter 1

Isn’t it amazing to think of all that God has done for us? He paid the debt for our sins, washed us clean, made us brand new, and gave us authority over the enemy! Let’s begin like Kenneth Hagin and pray the Ephesians prayer in the morning and evening.

Ephesians 1: 16-20

Father, I cannot stop thanking you for all you have done in my life. I am asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give me spiritual wisdom and insight so that I might grow in my knowledge of God.  I pray that my heart will be flooded with light so that I can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.  I also pray that I will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for me who believes him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms.

Ephesians 3:14-19

When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth.  I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower me with inner strength through his Spirit.

Right and Wrong Thinking: Chapter 3

Now that we have our thinking and our believing right, it is time to get our confession right. This one sentence sums it all up, "The confession of a believer's lips that have grown out of faith in his heart will absolutely beat the devil in every combat."

Colossians 2:15 In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. he shamed them publically by his victory over them on the cross.

I love to just imagine this scene in my mind. Satan thinks he has won, Jesus took his last breath, the threat of losing is gone. He turns to the crowd of demons watching and they begin to celebrate. At the height of the party, Jesus enters. He walks right up to Satan and snatches the keys of death, hell, and the grave right out of his hands. Jesus then grabs him by the neck and parades him in front of all of hell. "No longer will you have dominion over my children! No longer will you have the ability to defeat them! Today, the battle is won, you have lost!"

Oh, that you could really see that the enemy has already been defeated. Jesus paid the ultimate price. Let's take back our thinking, our believing, and our confession. In the words of an old Carmen song, "Satan Bite the Dust."

Watch - Satan Bite The Dust!

Right and Wrong Thinking: Chapter 2

Have you taken care of your "stickin thinkin?" I sure hope so. If not, then reread chapter 1!

Now that we have taken care of your thinking, lets start taking care of your believing. It is one thing to know what the Word of God says, but you also have to believe it. You have to believe that it is not only true, but that it applies to you. It has to move from your head to your heart and that is when you will start seeing the manifestation of what you are believing for.

If you want to know what your heart believes, just record what comes out of your mouth. Your words are very revealing of what you actually believe. Remember the 10 spies who came back from spying out the Promised Land? Only 2 of them came back speaking truth and not fact. Are you speaking truth or fact?

Don't forget to read it out loud and make it a family affair.

Right and Wrong Thinking: Chapter 1

Right and Wrong Thinking by Kenneth E. Hagin

I am so thankful that I wasn't brought up with "stinkin thinkin." What does that mean? Thinking that doesn't line up with God's Word. This is why studying the Word of God is so important. You can't speak it if you don't know it.

So, I am going to ask that you read this book slowly, savoring every word. Maybe even reading it out loud. Get the whole family involved. If you don't like to read you can listen by clicking on this link: Right & Wrong Thinking audio. Better yet, listen and read along at the same time.

Hebrews 4:14  So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. (our profession or confession).

Did you notice it is our confession that makes it a reality? It's your confession, saying it out loud that makes it come real in your life.

What needs to become a reality in your life? Start confessing it now! Share it with us to help stir the faith of others by commenting below.
