I recently heard Billie Brim say that the greatest need of the church today is for the body of Christ to get ahold of who they are in Christ. E. W. Kenyon said, "The supreme need of the church at this hour is to know what we are in Christ, how the Father looks upon us, and what He considers us to be" (p11). That was over 70 years ago. I think it is time we get it, don't you?
The enemy realizes that the moment we understand that when we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we were made into a brand new creation and automatically were made righteous, and at that moment he was defeated.
With our right standing Kenyon says that God covered every phase of our need, restored our fellowship with God and wiped away all guilt or sin. Our old sinful nature has been replaced with the nature of God. We now have victory over sin and the enemy. We are children of God.
As you begin this week remember: we are redeemed, recreated, delivered, and set free!
