Now that we have our thinking and our believing right, it is time to get our confession right. This one sentence sums it all up, "The confession of a believer's lips that have grown out of faith in his heart will absolutely beat the devil in every combat."
Colossians 2:15 In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. he shamed them publically by his victory over them on the cross.
I love to just imagine this scene in my mind. Satan thinks he has won, Jesus took his last breath, the threat of losing is gone. He turns to the crowd of demons watching and they begin to celebrate. At the height of the party, Jesus enters. He walks right up to Satan and snatches the keys of death, hell, and the grave right out of his hands. Jesus then grabs him by the neck and parades him in front of all of hell. "No longer will you have dominion over my children! No longer will you have the ability to defeat them! Today, the battle is won, you have lost!"
Oh, that you could really see that the enemy has already been defeated. Jesus paid the ultimate price. Let's take back our thinking, our believing, and our confession. In the words of an old Carmen song, "Satan Bite the Dust."
