Our grandchild was born 4 weeks early at 8lbs 4oz. Seems like a healthy baby but unfortunately his lungs had not developed yet so we knew he would be in Candler’s special care unit for several days. On day two he took a turn for the worse and had to be put on a ventilator and transported to Memorial’s NICU unit. Through the favor of God when I received the phone call I headed to the hospital to either meet my son at Memorial or stay at Candler with my daughter in law. As I walked through the doors at Candler I went to explain my situation in hopes they were going to let me in and the security guard interrupted me by handing me a sticker that already had my name on it. Only God!! I remember walking into my daughter in law’s room where she sat on the bed weeping and my son was frantically pacing back and forth because Memorial’s transport team had not arrived! I said, “God give me words” and I immediately looked at both of them and said, “not today, not tomorrow or anytime will the Devil have my grandson and y’all’ s son”. I began to repeat that and join my son walking around the room. Within seconds the Holy Spirit was able to enter into that room and start comforting my broken-hearted children. We then were able to go see our little baby before he was taken to Memorial. I was able to pray over him. He was born on December 14th transported to Memorial on December 15th where he had one more set back and we were told he might have to be flown to Augusta to receive a heart/lung transplant. With the prayers of family, friends and our faithful Tuesday night prayer warriors — our grandson left the hospital on December 25th a true Christmas miracle. My son and daughter in law got to witness first hand God work in their life through prayer!
Never give up on God! He wants us to ask Him, believe in Him, and receive his supernatural miracles!
