Day 11: Hiding From Reality

Day 11: Hiding From Reality
Read Chapter 6 stopping at Self Preservation

“Spiritual growth is a function of neither time nor learning, but it is a function of obedience” - p.67

This is such a powerful sentence! Obedience is the key to everything — walking in love, peace, blessings, and His perfect will for our lives. This is the reason it is important to teach your children to obey your voice (the voice of authority), the first time; not after you count to three. You are training them to respond to God’s voice. I have never heard God count to three. He may give me another chance but if I keep ignoring Him, He quits leading and guiding.

I want to be an obedient child of God by following Him in all areas of my life instead of being led by my emotions. Church is very important and many times people will leave and say that God released them, however, 9 out 10 times, they were offended and were blaming God. There are times when God will lead people out of one ministry and to another but it is imperative that they make sure they are hearing from God and not the leading of the flesh.

“Holy Spirit, I am committed to obeying the word of God that is spoken to me from you, that I may grow and mature in my times of conflict and suffering.”
