We definitely needed a move and God showed up. Our oldest son, 23, is stationed in North Carolina but received orders for to move to Florida a few months ago and was suppose to report this Friday. He and his wife sold their home and packed up last week, but were told Thursday that the commander hadn't signed the orders and might keep them in North Carolina. If he doesn't sign for his housing in Florida by Friday, he will lose base housing. To make a long story short, this whole situation has been coming to a boiling point ever since an injury he sustained from a parachute jump while in this unit, so he sent his pregnant wife to her moms in Alabama and stayed to fight the Army (never a good thing). We told him to drive down to see us for the long weekend and just get away from everything for a few days. We knew from being stationed there ourselves many years ago how hard it is to leave the 82nd Airborne - and the Army always wins. But God...
He was suppose to go to church with us Sunday, but he didn't wake up until after 1 p.m. - he was completely exhausted from everything. When the red cloth passed over us Sunday and we stood to thank God for a move, Holy Spirit said to put my hands on my head and receive healing for Jacob, then go home and put my hands on his head. James and I prayed over him for peace, rest, and emotional healing. We also prayed for physical healing from his head injury. Yesterday, he woke in such a good mood. Before he headed back we cooked out, played corn hole, and just got to see our son well - he was smiling and not on edge at all.
He called this morning to let us know that he went in to find that the commander had decided to sign his exception to policy and he could start clearing. No fight needed - God did it for him. After all he has been through, he really needed to see God's hand in his life right now.
It was so awesome to sit in a service again that yields completely to the work of Holy Spirit.
Thank you.
