Fasting: Part 1

What an amazing start to 2020, from the prophetic word that was given during our New Year’s Eve Service to the very first sermon preached on sunday. God has amazing things in store for us as a church and for each of us individually. But you must hold fast to, and pray in the plan and the will of God.

The 3 duties of every Christian are:

1. Giving

2. Praying

3. Fasting

These 3 duties all work together. God has given us the Word or as we discussed yesterday, “the bridge”. We know that the harvest will be great and that we must prepare for it. Although we have been given a Word — it will not just happen, we have to pray it in!

As you draw closer to God through giving, praying, and fasting, God will reward you. Job 23:12 says, “ I have not departed from the commandment of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.”. Whatever we give up in the natural, will be rewarded in the spirit.

Let’s finish this fast strong. Get out of your comfort zone, give like never before, praise like never before, and pray like never before!
