Day 7: When Rejected by a Father
Read Chapter 4 (Stopping at Who Will Avenge Me?)

Every single one of us longs to be loved and accepted by our earthly fathers (biological or otherwise), and when that doesn’t happen we are hurt. That pain will turn into offense and bitterness. The enemy’s plan is to have you so hurt that you will not trust another male figure, including God.

Earthly fathers are human. They will make mistakes. Maybe their motives were good but the execution was poor. Maybe they didn’t have a good father to show them the way. Let’s give them the benefit of the doubt, forgive them, and get rid of anything that is not pleasing to God.
