Day 17: The Rock of Offense
Read Chapter 9

This was such an important chapter to understand that anyone can hurt your feelings, yes; even Jesus! Jesus was loving, compassionate, and he spoke truth. Truth is sometimes offensive and facing truth sometimes can hurt. Don’t let this become an opportunity to allow offense to take root in your life.

Do not compromise to keep friends. Compromising can lead to spiraling down a deep hole that will seem impossible to crawl out of or change. As John Bevere says on page 114, “we will lose the fresh oil in our lives and we will hinder them from being set free.” I want and need the fresh oil to follow my life every day. How about you?
