Receiving the Knowledge
This weeks reading reminds me of Sunday’s message.
“My counsel for you is simple and straightforward: Just go ahead with what you’ve been given. You received Christ Jesus, the Master; now live him. You’re deeply rooted in him. You’re well constructed upon him. You know your way around the faith. Now do what you’ve been taught. School’s out; quit studying the subject and start living it! And let your living spill over into thanksgiving.”
If we have been taught the Word - then we should be deeply rooted, grounded, and living out our faith! Growth only comes by gaining knowledge through the Word each and every day. Are you studying and asking God to reveal exactly what He wants to impart into you each day?
It’s imperative that we understand what all He has done for us through salvation and all He is currently doing while seated at the right hand of the Father. If we truly understand these two truths then our confidence in Him will be strong and will not waiver.
Let’s continue to feast on His Word and in His presence so we can truly grow. Feeding our spirits once per week is barely keeping our spirits alive much less growing! If you aren’t already, make a decision every day to listen to a faith message, read the Word, and spend time thanking God for all He has done! This week is a great week to start. Anybody else thankful for the great God we serve?
