Greetings Seedkids Dream Team!
I hope everyone is having a great week. I’m excited about what God is doing and grateful to be on the frontline with you. We have the honor and responsibility of pouring into children every week, and what we do truly matters.
I wanted to touch base on a few procedures and updated protocols that are important to Seedkids:
Dream Team T-Shirts: Coming in October! We will provide and require our Seedkids Dream team to wear T-shirts. We will provide a shirt and also have additional t-shirts available for purchase.
Class Check-In: Remember that check-in closes 30 minutes after service begins. This helps minimize classroom interruptions and keeps the kids focused (as best we can). Each parent now received only 1 pick-up tag even if they have multiple children. You are not required to take the tag but are required to make sure the numbers match on parent tag and child’s tag.
Engagement: Consider using puppets to help with lessons or memory verses. Keeping the class active and engaged can be a challenge, so let’s make it fun and dynamic. We want to connect the truth of Gods word into the children we teach each week. Let's find ways to make it stick.
Playground Time: To avoid disruptions, playground time should be scheduled for after 9:15am/11:15am, not drop off or pickup times.
Allergies: Pay close attention to the allergy information on each child’s tag, especially when serving new snacks. We stick to goldfish and vanilla wafers unless it's a party or lesson-related treat.
No Food in Classrooms: Food is not allowed in classrooms for either teachers or kids. If parents bring breakfast food or a snack kindly let them know it needs to be eaten in the café. We provide snacks. K-5th grade only water bottles allowed
Move-Up Requests: It’s important to have a structured process, so discussions regarding move-ups should involve teachers, parents, and Pastor Julie. The nursery and toddler classes are the only ones with varying move-up times. If there is a child you feel is ready to move up please submit a request to evaluate the discussion. Wait for approval before moving up.
Punctuality: Arriving on time is crucial. Please be in your class by 8:30am. If this is a challenge, let us know so we can adjust your serving time if possible.
Parent Interaction: Greet parents warmly and update them on class activities. Building relationships with families is important.
Christmas Event: This year, we won’t have a traditional Christmas play. Instead, we’ll start the evening with a performance by our preschoolers and kindergarteners, followed by a Family Christmas Variety Show. We encourage families to collaborate and showcase their talents. We’ll conclude the night by celebrating the true reason for Christmas: Jesus. More details coming soon!
Thank you all for your dedication and hard work. Let’s make this a fantastic season for Seedkids!
Blessings,
Pastor Julie Friday
