Why is it appropriate to set aside a special time each year to give recognition and affirmation to our pastors and their families? How are their needs and circumstances different from those of any other job or profession?
One distinction lies in the nature of the service these leaders provide. God has entrusted to them one of the most precious of assignments—the spiritual well-being of His flock. One day, our pastors will stand before God and be held accountable for how they cared for the souls of their congregation. No person or family would choose and be successful to live life under these conditions unless they were called by God. Let’s join together to honor Pastors Kempie and Lisa Womble by blessing them financially with a love offering, Sunday October 14th.
